Camp Parks Breaking Ground to Create New Main Gate, Buildings

The groundbreaking ceremony will be held on March 6 for the construction on the west side of Camp Parks as the start of a new gate, Police Department building and a visitor center.

Information from Camp Parks:

On March 6, at 1 p.m. Camp Parks will be conducting a Groundbreaking Ceremony to commemorate the start of construction by SunCal for the new Camp Parks Access Control Point to be located on Eight St. and Dougherty.

The ground-breaking will be for the construction of a new Access Control Point (ACP) on the west side of Camp Parks off Dougherty Avenue. The ACP includes a new Main Gate, an Administration/Police Department Building, a Visitor Center and Mail Room.

This construction is part of the overall exchange agreement between Camp Parks, SunCal and the City of Dublin. Parks deeded one hundred eighty acres of land to SunCal for the construction of six facilities to be completed in the next few years.
