Opportunity
Oak Knoll was once the legendary home of the Naval Hospital Oakland. For 54 years, the facility served the medical needs of US veterans from WWII, the Korean War and Vietnam. Soon, it will serve a different group: more than 900 families in search of a new home within one of the Bay Area’s most significant master-planned community opportunities, complete with a rich history, restored creek and sweeping views of the San Francisco skyline.
With a massive transfusion of resources and expertise, SunCal plans to create a thriving residential community with charming neighborhoods, a restored creek and native landscaping, open spaces and public parks that capture the healing power of Oakland Hills’ nature. In a nod to its patriotic past, Oak Knoll will also feature a memorial that honors the hospital’s proud history.
