SUNCAL’S POTOMAC SHORES WATERFRONT COMMUNITY IN VIRGINIA MARKS SALE OF 800TH NEW HOME
Mixed-use Development near Washington, D.C., has Sold-out Six Neighborhoods
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA. (Nov. 12, 2018) – Potomac Shores, a 1,920-acre transit-oriented, mixed-use community 30 miles south of Washington, D.C., continues to grow with the waterfront destination marking the sale of its 800th new home.
Potomac Shores is being developed by SunCal, one of the largest real estate development companies in the U.S. that specializes in large-scale, mixed-use master-planned communities.
“Potomac Shores offers an incredible lifestyle and amenities, and has consistently drawn strong homebuyer interest; reaching 800 homes sold is a great accomplishment,” said David Soyka, Senior Vice President, SunCal. “New community features continue to be added, the most recent including the newly opened Ali Krieger Sports Complex, major upgrades to the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course and an onsite elementary school.”
Ryan Homes, which launched home sales at Potomac Shores in 2013, has various home options in five neighborhoods throughout the community. Among these are 72 villas, 183 townhomes and 94 single-family homes.
NVHomes also began selling new homes five years ago. One of their single-family neighborhoods remains open for sales, and is located across the street from the new elementary school.
Pulte Homes is building 231 luxury townhomes in a highly desirable neighborhood that borders the 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. Many of these homes have scenic views of the lush fairways.
Brookfield Residential is currently offering 110 single-family homes and the builder’s upcoming Phase 2 neighborhood will have another 51 single-family residences that are within walking distance of the school.
In addition to the new homes, other development at Potomac Shores includes the June opening of the 30-acre Ali Krieger Sports Complex and its five sports fields. The complex’s first phase is complete and three more athletic fields in phase 2 are expected to be ready for use by mid- to late-2019. Last year, the 19-acre Covington-Harper Elementary School serving grades K-5 opened for classes. In the town center, the Potomac Shores team is finalizing the design of the Station House retail building that will be part of the new Potomac Shores rail station, and the town center’s commercial pads are being marketed to prospective business operators.
