SunCal’s Residential Community in Fillmore Receives Unanimous Council Approval of Development Plans

Fillmore, Calif. (Aug. 21, 2014) – SunCal, one of the largest real estate development companies in the U.S. that specializes in large-scale, mixed-use master-planned communities, has received final approval of an amended tentative tract map for its 29-acre residential community in Fillmore, Calif. The Fillmore City Council voted 5-0 to approve the revised plans at its July 8 meeting.

The amendment revised the project design and housing product types, and the site is now entitled for up to 146 detached residences. The property is located in California’s beautiful Ventura County, just north of 5th Street and west of Goodenough Road near the Sespe Creek levee in Fillmore.

“We’re very pleased to complete this major step as we continue to move forward with our Fillmore community,” said Frank Faye, Executive Vice President, SunCal. “This development is in an ideal infill, supply constrained location; it has a well-designed land plan, and there is demand for high-quality homes in this area.”

SunCal has carefully designed its 29 acres to include a variety of home styles and sizes in order to create a vibrant, diverse and high-quality community in the heart of Fillmore. With single-family detached homes, the SunCal plan will give future homebuyers many desirable options suitable for families large and small.
